6. That I'll be doing weekly "Life in College" Posts (with a better title of course)

Im sure there's more but Im too lazy to ponder it right now. (that up there is of course a first draft and bound to change...Im really starting to learn why artists/musicians get pissed when things leak because you just want it to be perfect before everyone sees it...I should post about this soon)

We Are Not Losers...

Lupe's site changed to reflect Lasers...That pic up theres is some good fucking design honestly. Its plain but eye catching and the anarchist A over Losers pulls it together.

Im excited, waiting for it to "shine down" sooner or later.

An Artistic Thought...

This has got to be one of my best works really? Its just so great for some reason.

If you think about it it really tells a story (which is the way I designed it...some of you I actually told you WHY I made it...but not for the blog) If you read it from right to left it goes something like this:

Never say never...bitch (okay thats not really in there but it's my story here...)

And you can tell its really great because I like it waaaaay better than the inverted version (which is mainly black...duh)

I could really talk for hours about this thing, I freaking love this shit...gosh...its great (unless thats just because Im the artist and...a part of it lol)

My First Attempt At Photo "Correction"

I dont really like the term photo "correction" because photos are meant to show exactly what a person looks like (except in the cases of us non-photogenic people) and the "business" has gotten too dependent on portraying an untrue picture of people lately.

I like to keep it classic so if and when I get into the "business" I'll try to keep the "correction" to a minimum (even at the cost of profits...probably)

So this is me w/ a seminole logo (vain I know) and some fruity little cool fucking swirls (excuse my French) and I even did a little "correction" on some small blemishes to see if I could still do it.

Im posting it on facebook too so dont look at it too hard...and maybe I'll post the original w/ markups of what I "corrected"

Rebel Without A Name

A few of my recent works (I posted on Facebook) and I think Im getting better in my opinion...I love it when I go from lost and idealess to having a spark to producing that finished product.

My only real problem is I need a brand name and I am so lost on that front. A few I thought of are AKrOnyM, TWOface, and INVERSE

They're not as great as they could be, so if you have any ideas let me know...please

Paper Air Yeezy's

This is such a well executed idea. Papercraft looks pretty cool to me (I tried it and it didnt work out so well though)

This Filippo Perin guy actually did a good job capturing the shoe, down to the strap.

Drake News

That's the art for "Best I Ever Had" and although it has no sexy beaches (haha phonetics) its apparently supposed to commemorate the digital culture that helped Drake get so hot (on the charts of course)

Its a fresh (as in unused) idea and therefore deserves a blog post.

Oh and apparently there was a fake Drake album sold on iTunes (dont buy it...should go without saying) I always wondered how easy it would be to cheat the iTunes system...apparently its pretty easy.

A little something I just whored together. I drew inspiration from my boy Orin at Orinary Creations, the type and boxes idea from the Picture Whore, Imani, and the lyrics from good ol' Kanye.

I also realized how bad 3 megapixels is nowadays especially compared to my 8.2 Samsung soo Ill definitely be snapping up primarily from the Sammie from now on.

What's So Bad About Comic Sans?

I keep reading (mostly on Yahoo) that people are trying to get Comic Sans banned. WTF, is it all that serious?

People's main arguements are that its childish, immature, etc. ITS BASED ON COMIC FONTS, and last I checked comics are for the childish, immature, etc. (and cool ass people like me)

The designer says he hates it too, but he said:

"If you love it, you don't know much about typography," Mr. Connare says. But, he adds, "if you hate it, you really don't know much about typography, either, and you should get another hobby."

Well, I (claim) to know a little about typography, and though I definitely dont use it, I would if it fit my needs. Thats what people dont get, nobody is forcing you to use it and most of the people that do use it dont know how to get other fonts or it's probably the most fitting thing for that project.

And since that short attention span is starting to kick in I'll end on this.

Let me pause to politelyy Laugh my Ass Off.

When I first say it I thought "who would really make a logo of a lady giving birth" until I noticed the collar.

Then I saw the "light"...that it looks as if a child is orally performing for a Catholic priest, can we say conspiracy? (or LMAO at least)

Cover Art I Like

Instead of making seperate posts for each of these, Here are cover arts of Ciara, Eminem, and Kid Cudi. All look cool and work well for inspiration in some of my designs.


Funny that they could make a vector of Ciara that is almost as sexy as her. This is probably only promo art though.

A vector Cudi and really good color mixing. i also really like the typography of "Dat Kid From Cleveland" (which makes me think of Family Guy...since Im watching it)

Sketches

Yea every now and then I get a burst of vitality and do something positive with my life. So I scanned a few of my sketches (what I use to stay awake in AP Gov.) and I think they kinda suck but everyone I show seems to be at least generally impressed.

Just the sketches of an AP Government student who isn't paying attention. This is how I would design a shoe for Nike (nothing like the Air Yeezy I think)

Yup too bad they're not real, especially because I love the splatter.

Yes the old and beloved header is gone...(it was getting boring)

So in a quick burst I created this new one.

There are still tweaks to make but the fun thing is it leaves open an opportunity for my readers (not the RSS readers though...gotta give up actual page views for this one)

Bruce Lee Vs. Iron Man

This is pretty good and I (for once) cant figure out completely how they did it. Im not gonna ruin the winner (even thought you'll probably watch anyway) but I do hate Iron Man (he's a pretty bad character to me)

The one thing that pisses me off is that Kanye West beat me to posting it...(grrrr...)

We're Not Losers...

I wasn't gonna post it (since there's a designated Lupe Blog) but I like the concept.

Apparently, through his Twitter (ugh, that'll be addressed in another blog post) Lupe announced that the Great American Rap Album and LupEND are CANCELLED! (but not his retirement...)

Instead he'll be bringing out an album entitled Lasers.

Which he cryptically announced by saying "We're not losers, We are Lasers" (sounds like a good wallpaper premise)

So Im gonna keep watching and when I find something of equal or greater coolness I'll pass the knowledge on to my incredibly small fan base (yup, I dont lie to myself)
